Our Philosophy

My name is Barbara, but the children call me Bubby. My daughter,

Heather and I run A Happy Daycare which is a state-licensed family daycare. We also have a preschool and pre-k program within our daycare.

Our philosophy here at A Happy Daycare is to provide a program that nurtures the development of the whole child, academically, physically, socially, and emotionally. We see the importance of working with the child at the earliest possible age to help them achieve each important developmental milestone. We totatally support the Successs By Six program which states that,"The first years of a child's life, birth through age five, are the most important years for building a foundation for future successs in school and in life."

 We consistently provide a safe, caring, secure, environment which sets the stage for the child to have the freedom to play, learn, and grow. Here at A Happy Daycare we believe in a balanced approach to learning. We bring a harmony into the children's play and learning where there is not just a set time for play or learning but that they interact and intersect each other for a balanced teaching environment. We take the lesson out of the school room and into the children's play and social time with hands on learning activities that makes it not just book learning but life learning.
